Jog Pants

Not since the 1970's have jog pants been such a popular clothing item. Back then they were used for just that jogging, but now they are seen as an everyday clothing item that we wear out and about, in the gym or simply sat watching TV. All the major promotional brands such as Fruit of the Loom and Gildan produce jog pants but now JKL are stocking jog pants from sports brands such as Kooga and Front row as they enter the market. Jog pants don’t have to be merely for jogging. In fact, most jogging bottoms are just comfy trousers that don’t have fussy fastenings. There are no zips to open embarrassingly, there are no belts to have to buckle and remove for laundering and there are no buttons to lose and compromise your modesty. Although they are styled on the jogging pants of serious joggers from the 80s they perhaps ought to be renamed and marketed as ‘relax pants’. Easily slipped on with an elasticated waist (and perhaps draw cord). Lots of us can never get trousers or jeans to fit properly because they have no apparent backside! Regular jeans and trousers in the right leg length just slide off their hips annoyingly and can look silly or scruffy. Sprawled on the floor watching TV, sat cross-legged playing a hand held game or lying back listening to an mp3 player with headphones making them oblivious to the outside world, a pair of jogging pants will be comfortable whatever position you find yourself in in your leisure time. Worn with a T-shirt or polo shirt, sweat shirt, hoodie or a fleece, jogging pants will always look great and be in vogue.
