Kneepads

Knee pads offered by JKL Clothing enable you to protect your work force by supplying them with appropriate Personal Protective Equipment, PPE, when necessary. Any work man or woman doing a job that requires them to kneel for extended periods of time will need to be supplied with knee pads as part of their PPE.

If, following a mandatory risk assessment, the control measures or method statement indicated a requirement for knee protectors then they would be classified as PPE and would need to be provided by the employer. Today's employers are responsible for protecting their workforce by any means necessary and certainly cannot afford to ignore basics such as knee pads if they wish to comply with health and safety legislation.

With modern ergonomic designs, knee pads are no longer a cumbersome nuisance which make working difficult. Quite the reverse in fact, they are fully flexible and do not hinder walking or working. Many of the high quality knee pads are made to fit unobtrusively inside trousers which have knee pockets or pouches inside each leg. This prevents the knee pads from slipping and potentially causing discomfort and annoyance.

Those who work in trades and industries which involve prolonged kneeling, such as fixing of skirting, laying of floor finishes or basically anywhere where the operative is required to kneel on hard surfaces for any period of time should be provided with knee pads which are fit for purpose. This does not necessarily mean the most expensive, what it does mean is that with the different types of knee pads available there will be just the right style to meet the requirements of the job and your budget perfectly.
