Many professional sides strut on to the cricket square wearing a range of colours – derogatively referred to as pyjamas by unsympathetic commentators and an unimpressed public.

Most club sides still wear traditional cricket whites and these are what JKL Clothing has available for you. An essential element of any cricket kit is a shirt, a white shirt of course. As cricket is a summer sport and really only is played when the season is at its best, the weather is usually warm and the sun splits the sky. When light fails because the sky is clouded and overcast, bad light stops play and any showers or sudden storms with downpours would cause an umpire to state that rain has stopped play. It can be quite tricky to get a full fixture list played if the summer weather is poor.

All things being well and with the sun shining the shirt a cricket player wears will probably be in hot conditions over several hours. If the spectators can get sweaty and sunburnt, imagine what it feels like for those fielding in the hot sun. JKL Clothing’s cricket shirts have fabrics designed to help moisture transfer from the skin, piping to add some interesting detail to the garment and both style available from Finden and Hales have three quarter length sleeves for practicality and comfort.
