Shorts as fashionable dress items come and go with different styles available when they are in style. Leisure shorts will always have a place in women’s wardrobes especially when the weather shows signs of heating up and bare legs are regularly on display to get their tint of summer colour.

Short shorts, stretchy shorts, stiff shorts and long shorts can all have a place in a drawer as they can all serve different purposes. A pair of short stretchy shorts will be perfect for enthusiastic workouts as well as sunbathing in the garden. Long, loose shorts are terrifically cool to wear and modestly cover the thighs down to the knees so are appropriate for wear in any company. They can be dressed up with strappy sandals, mules or espadrilles for a dressier look or can be teamed with loafers, canvas slip-ons, flat sandals, trainers or flip-flops for a more casual appearance.

Smart chinos could be worn to work and still allow you to work on your tan as you take lunch al fresco and soak up some warm rays or take you to a friendly BBQ that stretches into a long summer evening with thoughts of gardening or chores set aside until the next rainy day comes along.
