For a preppy college look it can be worn with jeans and a shirt and tie, wear it with a T-shirt for a more casual look or team it with a roll neck sweater for a layered retro look.

Zips, poppers, toggles or buttons may provide the fastenings for a cardigan and can dramatically change the look of a garment. It may be knit is a number of different way from a fine jersey knit to a chunky cable knit. Plain necklines or a variety of collar styles and plain rib cuffs or fold back cuffs can complete a look in a sensational way.
