Bodywarmers

In days gone by an extra layer for the body may have been provided by wrapping a shawl about the shoulders and tying the ends at the waist to keep it secure and close to the body. A furry stole might have draped shoulders and hung over the front of the body to provide extra warmth. Neither of these methods compare with the modern equivalent – the bodywarmer.

Padded with Thermoguard insulation or made from fleece or softshell fabrics the bodywarmer is an excellent garment for keeping you warm yet allowing total freedom of movement, especially that of the arms over the front of the body. Such soft, flexible fabrics will let you move about comfortably without any danger of splitting seams or threatening the area where arms are normally joined to a garment. The armhole just yields to the pressure of your movement and recovers when that pressure is withdrawn.

Worn with suitable under layers you can be guaranteed good air circulation about your body so that sweat can evaporate or be absorbed by other fabrics in your clothing. Being machine washable makes them very easy care garments that can look great for every appearance and any evidence of soiling from previous outings can be removed.
