If you spend your leisure time down at the beach, messing about on the river or in the hills and glens to take in the spectacular natural features our landscape is blessed with you might take time to stop, drink in the view and enjoy the sights that meet your eyes. You might need a comfortable bit of padding to sit on or a blanket to spread on the ground for a picnic.

A moment’s break to appreciate where you are rather than what you are doing will involve cessation of movement and the possibility of getting cold. You might only make the stop when you have completed your activity or reach your destination but if it something that has been taking place outdoors viewing it from sitting inside by a fire won’t do the vista justice.

Wrapped in a blanket you can sit and contemplate the wonders of nature and relax without fear of getting a chill or feeling so cold you need or cut your meditation short. If you’ve made a trek, mastered the ocean or conquered the challenges nature threw your way in other endeavours it is worthwhile reflecting on the achievement and letting it sink in whilst you are in the moment of triumph and appreciation.

Protected by a fleecy covering on your own or cuddled up to a partner or child you can sit down and feel that it was worth all the effort and sip on a hot beverage as a reward for your hard work. Bliss!
