Messenger

Messenger bags are a smart alternative to a backpack if the items you are carrying aren’t too bulky. They are ideal for documents, files and folders so if you need to have books and paperwork to hand, a messenger bag would be ideal.

It doesn’t have to be exclusively for paperwork of course, you can decide what you want to carry in it but if you intend to carry your lunch or a snack make sure they are in slimline packaging or containers and if there are any clothing items they will need to be folded flat or rolled tightly to fit in neatly.

Basically a rectangular shape, the messenger bag might favour landscape or portrait style presentation and a front flap for opening. It is easy to carry as it is worn on the shoulder. Some styles also have a grip handle and various pockets and compartments may feature on the back of he bag for instant access to stationery items or spectacles for example. Make sure you carry your messenger bag with features towards your body to avoid theft or interference with the contents on display.

Canvas or polyester might be the base fabric and both are ideal for embroidery if you wanted to customise your messenger bag.
