Probably the most hard-working item of clothing that is worn at work is the shirt. Short-sleeved shirts are an incredibly popular choice as they can look smart with or without a tie and as they have short sleeves there is little danger that the sleeve hems will become grubby as long-sleeved shirt cuffs often can.

Short-sleeved shirts are cool and comfortable clothing items that can be fitted or not. Different fabric mixes are also available including Tencel® in the Russell collection, which as well as being soft and absorbent has fabulous anti-wrinkle properties. Being short-sleeved these shirts can be worn open-necked without a tie and still look smart with their traditional collars. Long-sleeved shirts tend to suggest more formality and when worn open-necked look inappropriately casual; this is not the case with short-sleeved shirts.
