Cardigans

As part of a girl’s school uniform, a cardigan is hard to beat. It looks well with a T-shirt, a polo shirt, a traditional shirt and tie and a dress. JKL Clothing has cardigans by Jerzees and Maddins at remarkably affordable prices.

Both designs are V-neck front with button fastening, have set in sleeves and ribbed cuffs and waist band. Although cardigans are sometimes male garments they are usually worn by women and girls, the ‘cardy’ has a special place in a woman’s wardrobe. Perhaps it is that the design is so long established there are emotional associations linked to the garment. Certainly is it comfortable, practical and an item that is easily put on.

Sometimes little girls can get quite precious about their hairstyle and having to pull a garment over their heads can pull on ponytails and pigtails, French plaits and braids, clips and clasps can get caught and scrunchies can work loose. These can be catastrophic occurrences for image-conscious young ladies who might not be able to fix the damaged hairstyle on their own. By wearing a cardigan this circumstance can be avoided, hairstyles stay neatly in place and the cardigan-wearing young miss looks well-groomed and can change her clothing layers without any worries about disturbing her crowning glory.
