There has been much in the press about the obesity of children and how we need to get them involved in more physically demanding exercise activities. Whatever gets children into the fresh air and away from the television or computer console is a start.

It might be that you want your child to try out an activity before signing up to something that they will quickly lose interest in. Whether watching on the sidelines to see if a sport is what they want to do or supporting team mates or siblings a fleece would make an ideal protective item of casual outerwear.

Soft, snugly and allowing total freedom of movement a fleece is great to wear when climbing trees, playing in the park, riding a bike or kicking a ball around. It allows the wearer to be active and if they get too warm, it is easily taken off and set aside even if that does mean it will pick up dirt or dust from where it has spent the best part of the activity.
