Messenger bags (or courier bags as they are sometimes known) are a popular choice for carrying essential equipment by teenagers and college students where there is no uniform code. Of course if you can find a plain messenger bag in the colour that your educational establishment permits then you’ve had a result.

Able to be worn over one shoulder and either fall under the arm, across the back or the chest, the messenger bag with its adjustable strap can be worn as low as hip length or shorter if preferred.

What makes a messenger bag distinctive is the single flap panel that closes on the front of the bag. It might be secured by magnetic fastenings, buckles or Velcro® depending on the style.
