Leather Purses
A well-designed leather purse will become a lifelong friend to its owner. Leather is a firm favourite with designers as it can be easily styled; leather is excellent at accepting a moulded shape and holding it once it has been formed, its flexibility allows it to be cut and stitched in all manner of ways and the grain of the material and tensile strength means it is not dependent on fabric reinforcement. Leather also has little bulk which makes it ideal for fashioning in a variety of ways.
Purses need to be small enough to fit into a handbag compartment or to jacket pocket yet large enough to at least carry notes, change, credit and debit cards. Larger purses may incorporate a wallet section that allows further items like driving licences, passport and membership cards and passes to be readily available. If a woman wants to change her handbag all she has to do is decant the purse and whatever cosmetics and keys she has into the new handbag and life continues. It is seldom that a woman will change her purse.
Sometimes only a small purse for change is required for a trip to the shops without a handbag, otherwise a purse is an essential document carrier and if it were lost there could be a lot of admin required to replace its contents.
Clasp fastenings, magnetic buttons, strap and popper stud fastenings, Velcro® or zippers can all make a difference to the ease of operation, access and security of a purse and many women have tried and trusted preferences for the type of closing a purse has.
